Image quality varies from monitor to monitor; hence, monitor calibration is highly important to render the truest representation of colors. It is essential for imaging professionals, such as photographers and designers to calibrate their monitors so that photos display accurate colors on the web or in print. The calibrating procedure involves finding the right values for color, brightness, gamma and grey balance settings, minimizing variations. Calibration can be performed using built-in monitor calibration or using a measuring device, known as true hardware calibration.
